The term "society "refers to all those individuals, institutions, and oother entities that come in cntract with a business firm.Thus society does not mean society as a whole,rather the society of business.
Similarly ,the term "responsibility" denotes some kind of an obligaion on part of the business firms to fulfill the legitimate demands of such individual, institution and other entities insofar as they help in conducting business activity.Hence , the idea of social responsiblity is business firms are obliged to take actions, which protect and improve the welfare of the society of the society of the business as whole along with their own interest.
Business should be done keeping on mind i.e social responsibility. Business man should also think about the society member.Those business man will be succeed who deal with the social problems. Today most of the business are facing the problem of globalization,re engineering,etc. The term "business" has at least three usages, depending on the scope the singular usage to mean a particular company . The generalized usage to refer to a particular market sector such as "the music business" and compound forms such as agribusiness or the broadest meaning to include all activity by the community of suppliers of goods and services. Main responsibility of business is to think about society. Society becomes the first priority to business man nowadays.
